Julia Wilson began her work in the music industry at the age of 20 in independent record stores and labels. Moving onto a publicity role at the Mushroom Group of Companies record labels – Liberation Music / Ivy League covering regional and community radio and street press.

A promotion within the group saw her move to Sydney from Melbourne to cover jjj and long lead press.

She then moved onto independent label Popfrenzy Records for a further 4 years up until her own label Rice Is Nice was demanding too much of her time.

She has worked for artists such as Black Mountain, Of Montreal, SPOD, Daniel Merriweather, Jimmy Barnes, Josh Pyke and many more.

Now a founder of Borden Management with Jo Gray who currently looks after Seekae and Richard In Your Mind.
