Susie Patten co-founded I Heart Hiroshima in 2005, playing drums and singing. Since their humble campfire beginnings, the band has released 3 E.Ps, 2 L.Ps and toured across Australia, Europe, New Zealand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Susie was asked to play drums with Robert Forster (The Go-Betweens) performing Velvet Underground Covers at the opening of the Andy Warhol exhibition at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art.  She nearly died a little bit.

In 2010 she performed with Sia at Michigan Womens Music Festival, Peaches at Berlin Girls Rock Camp and Brooklyn-based all-girl drums collective Chica Vas at South by Southwest festival in Austin. She definitely died for at least 4 seconds in total then.

More recently she has been based in New York & Berlin writing her debut solo album and drumming for Sydney band Philadelphia Grand Jury, who toured throughout the UK, played CMJ festival in New York and completed two 25 date tours across Australia.

She is currently back in Brisbane sleeping in, watching Gossip Girl and figuring out her next step…..
